THE INTERMEDIATE PIPELINE COURSE
For persons with one to two years of corrosion experience, and/or persons who have previously completed the Basic Course.
Students are urged to take the complete course.

The course presents subjects to advance the training of those who already have a basic understanding of the fundamentals. Most Intermediate classes are taught simultaneously in two different classrooms by instructors utilizing the same outline. Each instructor will be teaching from a professionally prepared lesson plan.

The objective of the Intermediate Course is for each student to understand fundamental cathodic protection, installation procedures and techniques, and to gain knowledge of how to initiate appropriate procedures in construction, operation, and maintenance of corrosion control systems. Practical classes such as criteria for cathodic protection, impressed current interference, and rectivier maintenance are presented.
