Angela Durham Award
The Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Courses' Angela Durham Award was established in Angela's honor at West Virginia University in 2007. The purpose of the award is to recognize an individual for outstanding contributions to our Short Course.

Colonel George C. Cox Outstanding Award
The Colonel Cox Outstanding Award, named for a pioneer in the development of AUCSC and in underground corrosion work is presented to individuals whose work is notable in the prevention and control on underground structure. Such contribution might consist of a plan, design, program, development, improvement of method, apparatus or material by which the control of underground corrosion is facilitated or made more economical.

Outstanding Student Award
The Outstanding Student Award is given in recognition of a student’s accomplishments in the AUCSC’s advanced level session on pipelines. The award is also based on the student’s participation and test scores in the basic and intermediate pipeline courses, as well as his or her interests and accomplishments in the field of corrosion control. The 2011 Outstanding Student Award student is given to Randy Buitendorp, David Goad, and Mark Hall.
